At the 2007 World Expo the TLBT youth will have the chance to compete for over $70,000 in scholarship funds contributed by the Autobahn Motorcar Group Youth Scholarship Tour. John and Diann Chase, Fort Worth, TX, have graciously and generously donated their time and money to support the TLBT youth and the upcoming 2007 World Show will be the largest and strongest ever.
John and Diann Chase Establish Laura Harding Perseverance Award
TLBAA Members and Sponsors of the Autobahn Motorcar Group Youth Scholarship Tour John and Diann Chase, Fort Worth, TX, have announced the establishment of the Laura Harding Perseverance Award, an award in honor of former Texas Longhorn Breeders of Tomorrow (TLBT) Member Laura Harding, College Station, TX. Mr. and Mrs. Chase have initiated this scholarship with $6,000, to be divided among one-to-three TLBT members who exhibit persevering character traits and overcome adversity.
A sincere thank you to the Chase’s for their dedication and vision for the future of the Texas Longhorn breed.
With the addition of the presentation of the $24,500 in scholarships by the Mosser Family Memorial Scholarship Fund the total of scholarships awarded will top $100,000.
At the TLBT Youth Banquet, the evening of June 9, the Mosser Scholarship Memorial Fund will award $24,500 to qualifying applicants for their college education. The Mosser Family Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Rex Mosser, Midway, TX, in memory of the late Houston businessman Philip Mosser, who passed away March 9, 2005 and and Vicki Mosser, who died on January 30, 2006. Philip, 37, left behind a wife and three sons. Vicki, 65, was the beloved wife of Rex Mosser for 42 years and a loving mother. Mosser’s father, Rex Mosser, is a well-known Texas Longhorn breeder and is very supportive of the Longhorn industry. He contributes to practically every TLBAA sponsored event and promotes these great cattle through his herd of Longhorns and his ranch, Vicki’s Menagerie. TLBAA members contributed to the scholarship fund throughout the year, publicly at Longhorn sales and by making private donations. Because of the generosity of our TLBAA members, the Mosser Family Memorial Scholarship is possible. The donations will help some wonderful, deserving students attend college in the future.
The TLBAA would like to thank all the generous contributors to the Mosser Family Memorial Scholarship Fund for their dedication to the future while honoring the past.
