Larry Chapman
Larry Chapman, member of TLBAA died April 17 in Lubbock, TX, after a two-year battle with cancer. Chapman’s daughter is New Mexico Texas Longhorn Breeders Association Secretary Kristi Chapman Wilson (JKW Longhorns)
A resident of Muleshoe, TX, Larry, 57, owned award-winning steer Judge Roy Bean, with his wife Jeri.
Survivors include his wife, Jeri; daughter, Kristi, and her husband, Wade Wilson, Alto, N.M., and their children, Zackary, Wyatt, and Cheyenne; daughter Jaclyn Bulls and husband, Jason Bulls, Lubbock, TX; and daughter Traci Chapman and grandson, Aidan, Muleshoe, TX.
Larry enjoyed golfing, playing guitar and was a member of the Muleshoe Church of Christ and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Larry and Jeri got Judge Roy Bean from the former Pipe Ranch breeding program, when he was weaned, and have raised him as a pet for about seven years. He took one award in a Lubbock show early on. He is now a part of the JKW Longhorn family, and the Wilsons plan to add him to their show roster.
