Lots 92 and 140 were printed with the incorrect photos in the published catalog for the upcoming 2008 Cowtown Classic. Lot 92 should have the photo for Lot 140 and vice-versa.

TLBAA members from across the country found their way to Gulfport, MS, on April 11-12, for the 6th Annual Dixie Classic Sale. On Friday night chicken jambalaya and cole slaw was served as sale attendees previewed the cattle and enjoyed the chance to catch up with old friends.
A TLBAA Horn Showcase Satellite Measuring Certification was held at 10 am on Saturday for TLBAA members interested in hosting satellite measuring. At the certification, TLBAA Board Member Donnie Taylor, who is also the measurement supervisor for the Showcase, showed all the correct way to take a horn measurement. Also on hand was the 2008 TLBAA Horn Showcase Chairman Brent Bolen, Lufkin, TX, who said, “The more the merrier, guys. The more we measure at the satellite measurings, the easier it will be at the Horn Showcase.”

On Saturday, the crayfish were boiling and the shucking tables were crowded as attendees enjoyed the Cajun delight. The first lot sold was a donation lot benefiting TLBAA Board Member Bob Larson, who recently had a fire on his ranch in Tillamook, OR. The lot was donated by TLBAA Board Member and Sale Host Maurice Ladnier, Perkinston, MS, and sold three times with the following buyers: TLBAA Chairman Dr. Fritz Moeller, Socorro, NM; TLBAA Board Member Dr. Zech Dameron, Coppell, TX; James Hart, Baker, FL.
