May Issue To Hit Newsstands In Tractor Supply Company Stores |

| The Trails Magazine will be on the newsstands in 683 Tractor Supply stores from coast to coast, beginning with the May 2008 issue. This will increase the distribution of the Trails by over 3,000-3,500 issues a month, reaching more potential Longhorn breeders as they shop at their local Tractor Supply store. The Trails will have the largest distribution of any Longhorn publication, distributing between 8,000 to 8,500 copies a month and giving the TLBAA an unprecedented opportunity to market the Longhorn breed for its’ members. The TLBAA can thank Board Member, Carl R. Brantley, Wilkesboro, NC, for initiating the dialogue between Tractor Supply and the Trails.
Brantley made the initial contact with Tractor Supply and explained his idea of placing the Trails on their newsstands to Editor in Chief Brenda Cantrell and gave her the contact information to get the ball rolling. After researching and negotiating with the distribution company that represents Tractor Supply, Cantrell presented her information to Chairman of the Board Dr. Fritz Moeller and he gave her the green light by signing the contract that will allow the Trails to make this historical leap in circulation. The newsstand distribution will increase circulation of the Trails by 70 percent. Within the past month, the Trails has also increased readership by going online, allowing the magazine to reach potential Longhorn breeders of untold numbers around the world. Along with the increase in readership, the Trails has initiated new marketing options for members that allow breeders to advertise in the Trails at affordable prices that also benefit the different departments within the TLBAA. The Trails staff is proud to serve the membership of the TLBAA. The strides that we have made in offering these increases in distribution and marketing options will allow the TLBAA to reach potential Longhorn breeders, which will benefit the breed, the members and the TLBAA. We’re just getting started….there will be more creative marketing opportunities to come! |
