Grand Ole Time at the Eastern Summer Sale
The 5 th Annual TLBAA Eastern Summer Sale in Bowling Green, KY on July 9, 2005, was a successful sale with all those venturing to the great state of Kentucky having a good time.

The sale began at noon with a moment of silence in remembrance of Chris Sisk, who passed away during the Fourth of July weekend.
The sale started with 49 pre-catalogued Longhorns and finished with cattle brought in by breeders on Friday, July 8.
Don L. King was the sale chairman, with Bill Sayre, Brookfield, MO, on the block as the auctioneer. TLBAA’s Larry Barker provided the commentary
With a total of 93 head, the sale averaged $1,365.06. Jim Curry and Bear Davidson were taking bids.

Larry Gribbins, Hendersonville, TN, was the sale’s volume buyer, purchasing $20,150 worth of quality Texas Longhorns. Gribbins also purchased the high-selling lot for $6,500. Gribbins took home J-7 Riviera Rosie Girl from John Jones Jr. Interests Ltd, Lexington, KY.

Joe Graddy, Cottonwood, AL, followed close behind as the second volume buyer purchasing $18,350 worth of Texas Longhorns.
Mark Flinchum, Copper Hill, VA, purchased the second high-selling lot, Easy G Amanda from Danny D. Guffey, Section, AL, for $5,000. Larry Gribbins purchased the third high-selling lot for $4,200 from Cutis Elburn, Peru, IN, and William Smith, Marshall, MO, purchased the fourth high-selling lot for $4,000 from Larry Smith, East Concord, NY.
Get Ready for the 12th Annual Best of Texas Sale
The Best of Texas Sale in Bastrop, TX is coming up this weekend! The sale, sponsored by the Texas Longhorn Breeders of the Gulf Coast affiliate, begins at 12:30 p.m. on July 16, 2005.
Cattle can be viewed at the sale facility beginning Friday afternoon, July 15. A pre-sale party honoring sale buyers and consignors will follow the cattle viewing at 6:30 p.m.
On Saturday, breeders can enjoy a fried catfish lunch with all the trimmings beginning at 11 a.m. at $10 a plate.

2005 Fall Horn Showcase Sale Consignment Deadline
The consignment deadline for the exciting 2005 Fall Horn Showcase Sale is quickly approaching.
The last day to consign an animal to this much-anticipated sale is Aug. 15, 2005. The sale takes place Nov. 12, 2005, in Fort Worth, TX.
