AUCTION ITEMS

New to the list of auction items will be a Texas Motor Speedway Commemorative Diamond Ring. This ring, donated by Tom Spindor, celebrates ten years of amazing racing action at the Texas Motor Speedway. The diamond encrusted gold ring is emblazoned with beautiful and intricate carvings along with an impressive crest that will be an eye-catcher for years to come.

Be sure to place your bids on this very special auction item.

Have you always wanted to hunt with a world-class hunter and outfitter? Then get down to the World Show this Friday. If you’re the highest bidder, you will get your chance.

TLBAA member Toby Johnson, Big Horn Ranch, Big Horn, WY, is donating an antelope hunt at his ranch to the World Show Auction. Johnson has been all over the world hunting and might even teach you a few things about hunting if you win. And half of the proceeds from this auction benefit the TLBAA and the Wyoming Texas Longhorn Breeders Association.

But you can’t win unless you bid at the World Show.

You could be right there next to Toby Johnson, if you win the auction at this years World Show.

Also, the February 2007 cover of the Trails Herd Sire Issue will be up for auction. This cover is going to be on a very important issue that will be become a reference guide for all TLBAA members. Be sure to put your breeding program in the spotlight and bid for the rights to this cover!

Make plans to be at the World Show and bid on these items.

TLBT YOUTH EVENTS

At this year’s World Show the TLBT will be electing their officers. Members will be allowed to campaign this year at the World Show.

The Gold Merit Competition will be held on Wednesday, June 7 at 3 pm. That same day a new event, the Livestock Judging, will begin immediately after the TLBT Officers and Directors meeting at 6 pm.

The TLBAA, TLBT and the Trails would like to extend a special thank you to John and Diann Chase and Autobahn Motorcar Group for generously sponsoring these events with donations totaling $150,000 for the TLBT Autobahn Youth Scholarship Tour.

At this year’s National World Youth Show, $70,000 of the $150,000 will be part of the prizes and winnings. Just recently, Autobahn Motorcar Group donated $30,000 at the 2005 State Fair of Texas and $50,000 at the 2006 Fort Worth Stock Show.

The Chase’s and Autobahn Motorcar Group have done this for the future of the youth involved with the Texas Longhorn breed. Without their generosity, this year’s event wouldn’t have been possible.

“COW PASTURE POOL” GOLF TOURNAMENT

The World Show is focused on the next generation in Texas Longhorn breeding, but we have a special event for the golf-lovers among us. The TLBAA “Cow Pasture Pool” Golf Tournament will be held at the Fossil Creek Golf Club in Fort Worth, TX during the World Show on Friday, June 9 th. Take a look at the May Trails Issue on page 96 for the entry form. Or you can download a PDF by clicking here. Even if you can’t play in the tournament, you can still sponsor a hole. For more information, please call the TLBAA office and talk to either Jim Curry or SuzAnn Spindor at (817) 625-6241.
