Shannon Nokes Named “All-American” Cheerleader

Shannon Nokes, Georgetown, TX, was named “All-American” by the National Cheerleading Association last week during “Cheer Camp.” The camp was held in FortU Worth, TX, on the campus of Texas Christian University (TCU). Shannon, a TLBT youth member, will have a chance to perform at the pre-game festivities at the 2007 BCS Orange Bowl in Miami Florida on January 2, 2007. Let’s give a big cheer for Shannon!

A Newborn Baby with Cowboy Boots On!

Sheldon and Patti Buxton of Sour Lake, TX, are the proud parents of a newborn baby boy, Zane Marshall. The little cowboy was born on July 3, 2006 at 10:20 am. Zane weighed in at 7 pounds 15 ounces and 20 inches long. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Buxton and welcome to the Longhorn family, Zane!

Bob Rubel, Burleson, TX Had Knee Surgery.

Bob Rubel of Burleson, TX, had knee surgery late last week on June 30th. He had his left knee replaced, but hopes to back up and around for the Boulder County Fair in Longmont, CO on July, 30th.

“I will be moving a little slower for the next few weeks,” Bob said.

  • Lee Tisdale, the wife of Dan Tisdale, Bowie, TX, is feeling much better.
  • Frank Bowdoin, Crawford, TX, after having quintuple heart bypass surgery on Friday, June 16, 2006, is home and recovering. He had a few minor set backs but is doing well.
